It's a smalll scale fraction collector. large cap goes towards the bottom, the metal spike holds (usually 4) shell vials bound in a metal ring. Condensate comes in the top of the vessel, and black knob is used to rotate vials to collect next fraction.
ahh yes. thanks anon. that would explain the sets of 4 tiny tubes wrapped in rubber bands in the same drawer. Always wanted to know what those were. Although, how do u get the condensate dripping into the correct vial? I'm assuming there is an adapter or glass tube that goes through that blue screw thread on the right and the broken bit is either vacuum or inert gas
